More than 30 years ago, the United Nations General Assembly took an important step in promoting the idea that everyone deserves a decent place to live by declaring that the first Monday in October would be World Habitat Day. And every year on this day, we at B/CS Habitat rededicate ourselves to partnering with low-income homebuyers to make homeownership an affordable reality. This year, we invited candidates to join us in our commitment to building homes, community and hope at Candidates Build!

Everyone is invited to join us as we kick off Candidates Build at the opening ceremony at 8 a.m. City officials from Bryan and College Station will help us start the day. Then we will put the candidates to work on one of the current houses under construction.
