The crispness in the morning air signals the change of the summer season to the fall season. As fall approaches we begin to reflect on the year that is quickly coming to a close. For twelve local families, it brought a year of hard work with the hope that their efforts would make them homeowners this year. Through the generous support of donors, sponsors, and partnerships, this hope is the reality for these families.
Two of our generous partner groups, Aggie Habitat and Faith in Action, come together twice a year to sponsor and build a home for two qualifying families. Each year these two groups sponsor a pumpkin patch, one in Bryan and one in College Station, as part of their efforts to build homes, community and hope in Bryan/College Station.
There are many places to purchase pumpkins this time of year. We hope you will visit one of our partner groups’ pumpkin patch this year to buy a pumpkin and help a family out of substandard housing and into a decent, affordable home. The pumpkin patches feature photo areas for fall photos and a wide variety of pumpkins to choose from with pumpkins for every budget.*
