Bryan/College Station Habitat for Humanity is currently collecting supplies and donations to make cleanup kits for families returning to their Hurricane Harvey flooded homes. The cleanup kits will be sent to Golden Crescent Habitat for Humanity to be distributed to families in DeWitt, Goliad, Jackson, Lavaca and Victoria counties northeast of Corpus Christi and Habitat for Humanity of Jackson County serving Port Arthur, Beaumont and Orange.
The kits include items such as heavy duty garbage bags, buckets and Clorox bleach. We will be collecting items on the list below at our office during office hours (Mon – Fri 9 to 5 p.m.) and at the Habitat Restore (Tues – Fri 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sat 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) We have also set up a donation page for individuals who want to make a monetary donation to go toward purchasing these items in bulk and for Habitat recovery efforts in the affected areas.
